Construction of the Airport Center Sarajevo (ACS) will commence shortly and the opening is planned for 2013. This prestigious new retail development will offer a great variety of brands, products, and services, some for the very first time in Bosnia-Hercegovina, on over 35.000 sq.m. of retail space.
Approximately 110 shops will offer their goods and services on 2 floors, including a hypermarket, electronics retailer, ladies, gents and children fashion, shoes, sports, home furnishing and decoration, to name but a few. In addition a large food court as well as restaurants, bars and cafes throughout the centre offer a large variety of local and international food and drinks, providing a place to have a break during the shopping experience in the ACS.
Not to mention the children's playground where parents can leave their kids in a safe and secure environment to enjoy themselves, while the parents enjoy the shopping at ACS.
In addition a multiplex cinema directly above, and accessible from, the food court will provide entertainment for all ages on 8 screens, one of which will be a luxurious venue with large seats.
As the ACS is aimed not only at the residents of Sarajevo, but the surrounding areas as well, parking and access is of utmost importance. For this reason the ACS has developed a traffic concept to enable visitors to get to the centre with ease. Because of the proximity of the Airport of Sarajevo public transport is provided, and in addition the ACS will provide a free bus shuttle linking the ACS to the major residential areas in the vicinity as well as the tramway lines nearby.
Parking is provided both surface and in the garage, offering about 1500 secure parking spaces.
The proximity to the airport, and indeed the direct connection to the airport will be attractive to tourists and business travellers alike, using the time to the flight for some last minute shopping, tax free for tourists.
